Escalator Press is nearly three years old. Its first publication The Score by Adrienne Jansen set the tone for critically acclaimed, engaging stories on contemporary themes. Run Thomas Run, The Shark Party and A Line of Sight also take on hard hitting themes – refugees, domestic violence and an accidental shooting.
Two new books launch in October – Waitapu by Helen Waaka and Open your Eyes Jackson Ryder by Rudy Lopez. Authors Rudy Lopez and Janet Colson will talk about their books at a series of events this spring: Aratoi Gallery in Masterton on Sunday 31 October, the Mahara Gallery in Waikanae on Saturday 7 November and Wardini Books in Havelock North on Saturday 28 November.
