It’s only a matter of time before our much-anticipated publication A Vase and a Vast Sea hits the bookshops. As it’s a limited print-run, we wanted to let you know that pre-sales end this Friday, 18 September.
And we’d also like to introduce some of our other writers.
Miriam Sagan is the author of over 30 books of poetry, fiction and memoir. She is a two-time winner of the New Mexico/Arizona Book Awards as well as a recipient of the City of Santa Fe Mayor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts and a New Mexico Literary Arts Gratitude Award.
Natasha Dennerstein lives in California, where she is an editor at Nomadic Press and works at St James Infirmary, a clinic for sex workers. Her collections Anatomize (2015) and Triptych Caliform (2016), and her novella-in-verse About a Girl (2017), were published by Norfolk Press in San Francisco.
Rachel Kleinsman is a Wellington-based writer. She has a Master of Arts and an Advanced Diploma in Creative Writing (Whitireia, 2018). Her work has been published in 4th Floor and Turbine | Kapohau. She is currently working on her first novel.
Rata Gordon’s poems have been published widely, including in Best New Zealand Poems, Landfall and The Spinoff. Her first full collection of poetry, titled Second Person, was published in 2020 by Victoria University Press.
And finally thanks to everyone who has been part of the Whitireia Creative Writing Programme and 4th Floor.
Ngā mihi nui,
Mary-Jane Duffy and the production team
